Continuous Improvement Engineer

SUMMARY

Responsible for the development and deployment of site-wide continuous improvement initiatives to improve core business productivity.
RESPONSIBILITIES
In this role, you will also be responsible for planning, organizing and executing continuous improvement (CI) projects from the conceptual stage through to commissioning. You will develop and integrate CI techniques into site culture and daily activities.
Collection and analysis of operational data, identification and prioritization of improvement opportunities, the development of solutions and deployment plans, along with tactics to sustain the gains.
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor of Science in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, Industrial or similar)
Formal training in manufacturing systems and/or world class manufacturing techniques (i.e. lean process control; DOE, variation reduction etc.)
Formal training or certification in project management and/or Six Sigma is preferred.
6-10 years of Process Engineering experience is required, 3 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment
Familiarity with product development processes and industry standards, including hands-on knowledge and application of manufacturing systems and process improvement techniques.
