SUMMARY
Responsible for providing leadership, ensuring systems and procedures are in place and if not then create them in order to streamline the development process. You will also be interfacing with all internal and external parties associated with the project, and ensuring the project is being developed on schedule, on budget and in accordance with the expectations of the Company.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Develop and implement the long-term business plan for new developments providing due diligence and analysis is consistent with financial objectives.
Responsible for ensuring all necessary government and third party approvals are obtained.
Preparation of proformas, budgeting, scheduling, managing project consultants, preparing and issuing project status reports.
Written updated reports to the President on the status of all projects and also monitoring municipal planning processes and upcoming zoning changes.
Investigating rights, servicing capacities and other civil engineering issues and conducting detailed feasibility studies including engineering, zoning, title, market analysis, and financial modeling.
QUALIFICATIONS
Extensive experience in land development with a full understanding of engineering/construction issues and the planning approval process.
Prior experience directing and managing consultants and contractors and understanding budgeting, cash flows and financial analysis.
Team leader and player who is experienced in organizing and leading a diverse number of disciplines, and is able to work efficiently and effectively within a team environment.
Sound understanding of the development process, including government approvals, feasibility analysis, pro-forma preparation and analysis, budgeting, cost control and operations.
University Degree related to real estate development (preferably Engineering) is a definite asset.
