Human Resource Director

 

Summary
Reporting to VP HR 
Supports a high performing retail corporate team by providing strategic direction and overall leadership for the human resource function through the development and implementation of human resources strategies and programs to support 3000 employees’ achievement of vision, mission and supporting priorities; establishing and promoting customer service excellence standards within the human resources team and across the organization.
 
Responsibilities
Collect, maintain and manage all relevant employee information (including payroll, performance evaluation, medical/workplace injury); manage employee investigation and disciplinary documents; develop and maintain HR policy and program (e.g., compensation, recruitment, performance management) information; collect and submit information in response to provincial and federal statutory reporting requirements (e.g., annual pension information return, EI premium reduction program).

 Requirements
University degree
CHRP designation.
8-10 years progressively responsible senior management experience within an HR role.
Leadership (coaching, mentoring, performance management)
General business acumen including strong financial management
Strategic human resources planning and execution
Project, priority and time management expertise and demonstrated ability to deliver on commitments and effectively manage competing priorities
Ability to effectively manage conflicting points of view and demonstrate discretion, integrity and fair-mindedness
Sound judgment and unquestionable ethics and integrity
Demonstrated persuasive, congenial interpersonal style
Effective communicator, both verbally and in writing
